When I was a child my parents never told us there was a Santa. What they told us was that we were not supposed to tell other children. We were very poor and of course our presents was cheap.
The neighbor chldren told us that Santa did not love us and that we were mean and we told them there was not a Santa.
I really got my bottom beat.
I did not tell my children there was a jolly fat man dressed in red who lived in the North Pole that came and brought gifts to us. This is a lie. It is deceiving and I will flee from this evil. There really is not a fence to stradle here. Either you are telling lies or you are not. My children were always excited about Christmas because I made it exciting for them. My husband worked hard to provide gifs for them and I was not going to take this from him. He deserved their thanks, not some mythical creation.
So what God would I be bowing too? Bael, Some Greek God? The only Lord I will bow down to is the "Lion of Judah".
You celebrate his going to the Cross.
On what actual day was that again?
He was crucified prior to Passover. IF we have acurate calendars that would be in the Spring.
His birth has nothing to do with Red and Green. Nothing with Sinter Klaas and certainly nothing to do with Norse myths merged into the RC Church in the 8th century.
You missed entirely my point, friend. I posted tic.

I voted No, for the idolatry question, mostly because I believe idolatry is a sin that will send you to hell and I don't think Santa will send anyone there... Lying, well it might. ;-)
Is telling children there's a man who sits up north that watches them to see if they been good or bad lying?

So if we know he was 33 when he went to the Cross that puts his birth in one of these months.
