He walked in the little office where I was sitting with a group of his people from a church some 10 hours away. Missionary, he said it has now been twenty years that I have been faithful to God and over 15 now that I am preaching.
I studied his face as he talked…he had lost weight since I had seen him months before. Life is very heard we are going hungry. Is that why you have lost weight I asked. His eyes filled with tears he begin sobbing almost uncontrollably…It is part of the reason and traveling by bike in the hot blistering son is almost more than I can do now…
Are missionaries supposed to feel angry? For a moment I think I did…It seems so unfair Lord I heard myself saying that we have preachers that need the simplest things. an old car to get into another village and tell yet another people about you. and in my country preachers drive such nice cars and some home boast of many cars. We were supposed to share and be brothers and all give to each other…Oh Lord it is unbalanced...
By that time he and his people were weeping to see me weeping yet they had no ideal what was going on in my mind..
May Jesus help this little pastor that rides a bike into so many villages preaching this wonderful truth.
