I think it is funny that you can make these kinds of judgments about a man's motives.
Odd how transparent we become sometimes when we start pointing fingers at others.

I think that those who came from a certain generation or era looked upon leadership as faultless. For Laity to ever even question a motive was boderline blasphemy. So it's diffucult to believe that the human nature or mankind rears its ugliness through spiritual "Men of God".
There is a certain kind of Male nature that LOVES to conqurer and divide.
not all men are like this but Barb, I hate to tell you it's true and it's even in Pentecost

I would never speak of his motives had they not been voiced... You yourself said he is pretty outspoken... That is correct my friend... None need to wonder too much where he stands, most of the time... He is a great man and high aspirations and has made them known to many..

Wow!! Not much respect for someone who built something out of nothing...
Can't speak for CA, but when he came to MI in the early 70s, the church had split wide open and had dwindled from 800 to 90 members.
He worked and prayed and strove with people...me being one of those people, teaching us to become.
When he resigned 6 years later, the church membership was back to near 800, with a brand new facility, and a reputation for caring and reaching for souls.
I don't agree on every point, this latest issue in particular, but I wouldn't dare point a finger at his motives.
