I have been gone for awhile. I have a personal trove of history that would be redundant having mentioned it years ago on AFF. In reading through some of the threads tonight, this subject caught my eye. interests me, having always been a "one-stepper".
As a "one-stepper", I have always believed baptism is obligatory (a command) and that the Holy Spirit as evidenced in tongues is available for all that believe.
IMO the UPCI is too far gone to the other side for a reconciliation of the two to occur. The purists for the "whole gospel" will not let it happen.
I agree that DKB could advance the issue and could be influential, but I don't see it happening.
I appreciate JD's heartfelt concern, and I agree that if it was God's will for the PCI and PAJC to merge, then those things which breached the fellowship between those two camps are out of the will of God.
