It doesn't matter what's written on this stone
he had The Word written on His heart

or

Here I lie dead and gone
But compared to eternity
I won't lie here for long

or

As I am
You too will be
Papare yourself
on bended knee

Dig them fast
Taking me fishing
And catch some bass

Here is one that I read in a book (but I think its real)

"'Here lie I, Martin Elginbrodde:

Hae mercy o' my soul, Lord God;

As I wad do, were I Lord God,

And ye were Martin Elginbrodde.'"

From the soot he came,

And to soot did he return.

Hosea 13:3 Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud and as the early dew that passeth away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney.

I am a firm believer in the Old Paths

Upon my tombstone I hope to have engraved:

"He lived for a Message;
That Message will make him live again."

As absurd as it sounds, I already have my funeral message ready to go... from title through the entire eulogy. At my death the speaker has only to take up my notes and preach my funeral.

And, yes, I'm serious about that.

As for music? Our choir put out a live CD with an original song titled, "When I See Jesus" that is unbelievable. Additionally, I have a friend who wrote a song at his wife's funeral that they will hopefully use.

When it comes to death I'm not looking for the expressway. Yet, on the other hand, I strangely have no fear of it either.

Well... they requested a serious reply and I gave one.

Now the thread needs an epitaph!
