Not sure what we're doing yet. My daughter graduates in a couple weeks and I'm preaching in Jackson, Tennessee earlier that same week. If I'm going to get away at all I have to do it pretty quick.
However, I NEVER disobey my Pastor and - trust me - I'll do something simply because he requested it!

Glad to hear you are feeling better. I have been in prayer for you several times yesterday and today. Please rest and see about that insurance!!!!! Too much stress can destroy God's temple. This is a symptom and a warning. Heed it! After those strong words, I love and appreciate your ministry. God Bless.

In all seriousness, Brother, are you going to take someone with you that can drive, carry your luggage, wheel you in a wheelchair so that you don't have to walk too far? From the way you have described your symptoms, you are not healthy enough to go on vacation. I am really concerned for your well being and for a family who may be without someone they love dearly! Praying that God helps you do what you need and what He wants you to do.

My dearest Brother In Christ I do love you and please take of yourself as we do need you around.

At this point I've been in bed for a little over 24 hours I think. I did get up for about an hour late last night and tried to eat a little with my family and ventured into the living room to look at my new Grandbuddy. I haven't even gotten out of bed today and debate the wisdom of doing it at all.
After taking the proper medicines I've gradually gotten some of the fluid off my heart and my blood pressure has come down to 197/103. They say that's still high but it's much better than the 234/123 at the time I went to bed yesterday. I still feel like I've been stomped in a serious way about the chest and have a headache of magnificent proportions.
One of the key reasons for not going to the hospital yet is that when we went looking for insurance several years ago they gave me the option of covering my wife/kids or myself/kids. Something about a surgery she had some 6 years earlier that wouldn't qualify both of us with our children. I obviously opted for covering my family and we recently started shopping for insurance that is going to cover both of us. In fact, during a recent business meeting over the building program the Church asked us to find some kind of medical insurance that covered us all. Needless to say, if something like this was on my medical records we wouldn't be able to even acquire insurance.
Continue in prayer for me as I have a 'lot on my plate' and my health has now demanded to be an issue. Though I have my laptop at my side which stays logged on I've spent the majority of my time sleeping and a lot of time praying. Perhaps this is God's way of demanding I take better care of myself as I have to preach 5 camps back to back as well as several other meetings over the next few months.
If there is ONE voice in my life that I NEVER question it's that of my Bishop. One of my sons called him when I was in the throes of trying to breathe yesterday and he called me back a few hours later and, shall we say, 'expounded' (key word being pound) the way of God more perfectly. I made him a few sincere promises to take care of myself better and his 'discourse' included a final demand: "You get away from there for a few days! I don't care where you go but get away from that building program and that Church for a while." He went on to say "If they can't survive without you a few days you, as a Pastor, haven't done something right. If they don't understand you needing to get away they don't deserve you."
Well, I'm not sure where I'm going but... I guess I'm going somewhere when I get the strength to do it.
Thanks again for the prayers...

Steadfast,
Thanks for the update. I understand the insurance situation BUT as serious as your symptomns are you want to make sure you are around to have insurance in the future. I still hope you will, prayerfully, consider medical attention. Some things can only be helped if looked at early on. Please consider that. I am still remembering you in prayer every day.
God Bless.

Bro. Hutchinson,
My daughter said that a man called earlier and she answered the telephone. Thought his name "was 'something' Hutchinson". I'm not sure you would know how to get my number but I think you're the only "something Hutchinson" I know.
If it was you I appreciate the call. I've been in bed the vast majority of the last few days. In fact, I'm on my way back to bed now!
Blessings on you and yours,
Steadfast
