How can that make him Oneness? AOG are Trinitarians not Oneness
BTW you know NBA coaches don't build teams...right? That's what GMs are for. Coaches coach. GMs buy players.
IF teams alone, without good coaches, mattered, then the cavaliers should have went further. Their coach stunk. I knew this last year too. It was obvious. Phil Jackson is one of the greatest coaches ever

Phil Jackson has been fortunate enough to have the two greatest players in the NBA at the time the were/are playing. Great coach...maybe...but would he have ever been considered great if he was working with less talent...probably not.

Like I said, you can have a great team, but it means nothing without a great coach.

He has had the best talent in the league, an average coach could win with the teams he has had.

The Lakers had an average coach and did not do well. That's when they got Phill Jackson.
Cleveland has the NBAs MVP..they just let their coach go...good move. It takes a good coach and a good team. He was not a good coach. He might have been average, but not good.
Doc Rivers is a good coach.

Re: Pick Your NBA Champ 2010
Van Gundy is an alright coach. If he coached the Cavs, they would have been a better team than what they had the last 2 years.

Phil gets the nod and not the handicap for having three of the last two decade's top performers in Jordan, Shaq and Kobe. I think the latest rebuilding effort in LA is a testimony to Phil. Coaching through that, getting through that.
Also, there's something to be said for a coach's ability to "coach greatness." Coaching great players is not always easy, and is the reason why some coaches have not won championships with great rosters.
Winning, covering all ten of your fingers with rings obviously says something, and there is enough talent in the league where that outdoes some dynasties in the past.
10 championships... gulp....
The whole "greatest of all time" nonsense is pointless btw. But Phil should be on anyone's short list. He' smooth, coaches a beautiful offense that compliments star players and brings a team that always comes out with a mentality to win. And.... they always find a way to do that. Whether Horry, Fisher or whoever. They get it done. Not a Laker fan, but there's a reason why some of us dislike them so much! lol

Re: Pick Your NBA Champ 2010
Let's not forget that Jackson did quit one season and the Lakers stunk big time. Del Harris was not a great Coach either before Jackson came. They already had Shaq and a young Kobe.
It also takes a good coach to deal with personalities like Ron Artest...and somehow it worked
