Re: 2nd US Civil War

The civil war had defined leadership.

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

seems we have arrived. the Congress keeps exempting themselves from the laws they are passing.

Re: 2nd US Civil War

The way I see it in 11 months the republicans will take back the house and the senate and then 2 years later the American public will see how far we can drop-kick a lame duck from Washington.

At least here's to hoping. No civil war necessary. Besides, While I qualify as a disgruntled right-winger I am not so disgruntled I am going to shoot anybody over it. Well nobody except maybe Aquila or DedicatedMind...

Assuming the GOP can retake a supermajority in congress....let's hope the first order of business is to throw this healthcare debacle in the trash bin of history! That is if it passes the next couple days of debate with the house and gets signed by the Obamassiah.

I sure hope you are right. At any rate the Bill will not take effect until 2014 if I heard right. Lots of time for a political correction vs. a violent one.

Re: 2nd US Civil War

Are we not kinda due for a violent one though? I mean historically, haven't we been around so long that we are just about due for an uprising of some sort? That's what I have heard. I'm in no hurry to see blood on the streets, but if those people are correct, we may be coming to a point where it will inevitably happen.

Re: 2nd US Civil War

Growing up I had a friend who was convinced that since there was a civil war over slavery that we should also have one over abortion. Fortunately he re-thought that position over the years and instead of violence, advocated change through legislation.

Bro. Jermyn, one soilder to another. Using Baron's analogy above we may have a choice to make one day. The only way I see citizens rising up is if government steps over the law. This being said that would mean martial law, the government would use us as the front line. I dont believe there will be a "civil war" as much as I believe there may end up being another "Revelutionary war". At that point, soilders like us will have to make a choice.

I too will proclaim the above:

I, Joseph Scott, am 100% against anyone or any organization that supports the violent overthrow of my homeland, the United States of America.

Neither am, I nor will I ever be, sympathetic or even empathetic, to those who entertain such unlawfulness.

(for obvious reasons I dont expect a discussion from you, just something I think about at times)

I would guess you both swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States from enemies both foreign and domestic.

Is the current Administration stepping on the Constitution?
