I heard a man say once that life was not fair. That when people were young and needed a large house for their children and could really enjoy a cool sports car they were too broke to afford them.

Then when they were older with all of the kids grown and gone they could finally get the house with enough bedrooms, game room, etc and drive a cool car.

He said everyone should start out with a few million dollars then end up broke when they were old!!!!

I am not fighting it I just finally don't have kids to haul around in a mini van so can think about getting the kinds of cars I have only dreamed of up till now.

I really want the Saturn Sky or Pontiac Solstice convertible. I can handle them only being two seaters but the problem is that they also don't have any luggage space so we wouldn't be able to take it on trips!

yeah they do and they know and old man whenever they see one. The other day John Robert asked when that "old man that came deer hunting and pheasant hunting with Dad a while back was coming back to see us. " I almost croaked and told him, wasn't sure when, and he's not really that old. John Robert said, "Mom are ya sure, he has a lot of gray hair" I said, " So do I John Robert, but that doesn't make me old" He said, "It does when you are me!!!"

I like to have died. He was as serious as a heart attack.

When my son who is the Marine was about four or five years old I invited this older Pentecostal woman I worked with over for dinner. She was divorced and had no children.

She was one of the few people at our church that still looked traditional Pentecost with no makeup and her gray hair pulled back in a bun.

After dinner we were visiting in the living room. The woman was sitting on one end of the couch and my son on the other. As we were talking I noticed him intently looking at her.

During a break in the conversation he asked her "Are you a grandma?"

To which she replied "no" since she had no children and was divorced.

I almost died then when my son said "well, you LOOK like a grandma!!"

I thought to myself "just what a woman wants to hear" LOL!!!

The truth was she did look like a grandma. She was a little heavyset, wore glasses, had a wrinkled face, and grey hair in a bun.
