Letterman made a public apology last night to the people he works with, and also to his wife who he said would have a long way to go to forgive him. And Letterman wasn't married at the time ... he didn't commit adultery. Fornication, yes, but not adultery.

Welll...I think they were living together at the time, even though they weren't married.

So, he definitely wasn't faithful to the relationship, even if they weren't married. (I could be wrong about the timeline.)

I doubt any wife would want their husbands past dug up and put out in public like this ...
