We definitely have health care problems in the USA and there is no reason for inflation in that sector to be many times higher than overall inflation. There are just no easy answers.
Believe me, I have experienced the LONG WAITS that you speak of

Right now I pay about $350.00 per month and my employer pays about the same for my medical coverage.

Under socialized medicene the Federal Government would probably take about double that from each of us to add coverage for the masses that are too lazy to work or to unmotivated to get a job with health benefits.

You will huh? That's cool!

He's all gung ho about Facebook. LOL. He signed me up a few weeks ago, but I haven't bothered with it much yet. I've got about a dozen people all waiting to be accepted as friends. Guess I should do something about that.

The poor are always with us Scripture says. Every country has their share of people who for one reason or another aren't able or willing to help themselves.

It always catches me up short when someone calls Canada a socialist country. I never think of us as that and don't think the label applies in its definitive sense.

You have socialst health care. If the USA does not get a grip on the illegal immigration problem we are going to be in crisis mode in no time.

Our liberal judges have decreed that border states like CA and TX must provide education and healthcare to people who have entered the country illegally. The drain on healthcare and education resources in these border states is staggering.

How is that tax burden though?

That massage is very tempting though. I might just have to move.

Well.... our healthcare system isn't perfect ... socialist or not ..... but I appreciate it anyhow. Thankfully, I rarely have to avail myself of its services.

CC1, some of us have watched the opportunity to create a new FREE Enterprise system be slowly eroded away from BIG Government policies and until this week NOT ONE VETO.

No wonder so many sat on their hands during the elections last year.

Welcome back to the socialist world of Democratic controlled Amerika in 2008.
