Berk, I used to lock the car up and leave the house unlocked when I lived downtown here. Anytime someone was downtown at an event (they close downtown every Saturday in the summer to cars) they went to our house for the bathroom. My wife asked why I locked the car and not the house. So I stopped locking the car too!

My son in law was paying his rent and someone left their keys in the ignition of a Porsche! Some nice things happen in SMALL quiet towns!

Man, what is the population there!! Once it gets over 10k you have to take certain measures. Though everyone knows your name, not everyone likes you, ...but you live in Mayberry!!! How's Aunt Bee doing??

LOL! I call them 'the projects', but they aren't anything compared to the real deal.

I lived there for two years, and it was nice, for the most part. I remember my first summer there, going outside at 9pm and wondering why it was so quiet!

It was like that the entire summer.

That's what I do though, so I would have to move to a place where I can get an IT job.

I've never had any problems here, and only mentioned the rock throwing because someone did it to my pastor's house down the street. And my neighbor's dog poops in my yard...that's a crime! LOL!
