*Exactly. There's a ton of textual ignorance in this thread - from both sides.
*And, KJVO is so silly it's hard to believe anyone seriously argues this w. a straight face:

You seem a bit upset?
You know Jesus can help you with that bitter taste in your mouth.

Your response here is the kind that causes my warning radar to go off. When people resort to name calling and demeaning people in their response it usually means they don't really have a good response so they just attack.
I would suggest that if you want to be taken seriously here you should discuss matters in a scholarly fashion and respond without resorting to childish playground insults.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I already gave many citations by ancient scholars which explicitly mention a Hebrew gospel of Matthew, since they simply ignored those citations it means that they are not serious about accepting a scholarly response.

How can it not be settled?
Every manuscript with the ending reads the same. So, gee, how do we translate it? Do we translate it according to how every manuscript reads? Or do we change it for a reading we like, that has ZERO MANUSCRIPT SUPPORT?
I mean, seriously, how can there be an argument? 'All the copies read ABC, but personally I think the original MAY have read XYZ, so let's abandon ABC in favor of XYZ.' What kind of reasoning is that? I'll tell you what kind - it's NOT 'reasoning' at all.

Your citations were debunked. YOU chose to ignore THAT.

Re: Scholars find Matt.28:19 to be fraudulent.
The church father citations are duly noted and are interesting.
But we can only translate Greek manuscripts we currently possess.

Right, my copy of scripture wasn't meant to be a translation of the AnteNicene Fathers.
