My hubby's mom came from Korea, so, my girls were raised on sushi type foods and seaweed. I have sheets of it in my cabinet- the baby loves the stuff!!! LOL They are not real crazy about Kimchee, though... I don't like ANY of the raw stuff....BLAH.

(NOTE: After checking there is no clause about bashing the raw fish kind. Proceed with undignified disgust. I only love the kind with cooked stuff in it.)

Kimchee is Korean - not Japanese. I've had some that I liked pretty good.

We used to go to a Korean BBQ restaurant in HK that was wonderful and very inexpensive. We loved it!

ever had masaubee (sp?) before? its a green sause that you mix into soy sause to make it taste hotter? I was at a Japanese resturant once and took some on a bet, and kept adding more and more until I finally just put some of it right onto my chicken straight.... wasn't that hot though.... its about 1/3 as hot as some of the hot sauses I've had before, and no afterburn that some hot sauses have....
