Re: What has notofworks inspired you to do today?

I think N.O.W. is a sincere man, and loves God. I may disagree with some doctrines and his approach with things, but I thank God for NOW.

I didn't even know him. We had never communicated before. Many of you here have known me for years, if we go back to the original FCF its more than 6. You know everything I've been through, my struggles in the UPC, with my ex-husband, with God and religion. And most of you have written me off, as beyond help or hope, a complete reprobate. (don't get me wrong, that doesn't bother me, as I am at peace with my life and my now casual long-distance relationship with God).

But He, a stranger, was the one to tell me not to give up. To not judge Jesus by his representatives. He gets a gold star in my book!
Because of all that is why I give you your space......and I don't judge you.

Interesting. It was interesting to see the reaction of people who didn't know anything about the song. I spoke with a couple after the service who thought it was simply about not fearing death.

for those of us who knew the song...it was funny to see the pastor playing the cowbell.

It actually is about suicide, but it has an awesome melody. Too bad.

(I've got a fever, and the only thing that can cure it is MORE COWBELL).

Blume, good words! With out a different point of view the view would go stale. I think NOW is the MVP, Most Valuable Poster, thus far this year. Brings balance to AFF is what I think about when talking about NOW.

That is what makes it creepy. It has sort of a haunting melody and the lyrics about death and "we can be like them" (Romeo and Juliet)

I used to picture this song as the theme song for some satanic movie like Rosemary's baby...I was pretty young when this came out soooo
