Sigh...I don't think anybody is really listening to a word I am saying. I am not saying that I want to be an island unto myself. I am not saying that I never trust God to speak to me through others. What I am saying, is that I do not place someone who starts a church and calls himself a pastor on a pedestal above all others.

I can't believe you said that

I said that because it is so God is NOT going to change his method for folks in this day. Not a personal reference to you but a statement of fact. It pleased GOD by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.(1Cor.1:21) That is God's ONLY method it is that or Hell the choice is yours.

Wow, and I thought Jesus was the only way to heaven. I'm afraid you are sounding a little cultish there? Will you be serving refreshments soon? Some kool-aid perhaps?

Seriously, I just disagree with you about what the Bible says, that's all. By the foolishness of preaching.... yes. But what is preaching, but speaking the Gospel. Anytime we do that, we are being "preachers" and how can anyone be saved, if they don't hear the good news? If they never hear about Jesus.

But I don't get how you can twist that to say that we all need some pseudo-pope to stand between us and God, well i don't get that.

Your explanation of Heb. 13:7,17,21 and other scriptures that teach the same? The twisting is that you need NO one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God not man placed the ministry in the Church to reject the ministry is to reject God can't have one without the other.
How shall they hear without a preacher?
