Therefore, he was not elected because he is Black.

It's not like millions of Americans decided one day to vote for President Obama simply because we wanted to "paint the White House black."

How is it so difficult to fathom that many people, naively or not, voted for this man because they believe him?

Reducing his accomplishment solely to his race is insulting and not right at all.
I also posted that Hillary would have won as well. "History" being made was a major proponent for him, IMO.

I have been called racist (more than a couple of times) because of my strong anti illegal immigrant views.

My brother (the Preacher) and I were talking and I told him about this vision I had of the "false church", who's god was diversity.

Let me make this part clear again. I made a comment based on my opinion. You asked why I had that opinion. I gave you a brief, broad idea why, and I gave you a google search to look into it more if you wanted, to form your own opinion.

It was never my mission, nor is there any burden of "proof" on me, to "convince" you that she is a racist. That seems to be the point that's being missed here.
You made an accusation against someone on a public forum. I came to their defense and challenged you to substantiate your rather odious accusation. You confess that you are unable to substantiate that charge yet you don't have the courtesy to withdraw the accusation. That's where it stands.

I'll make myself clear again. ...I didn't bring HER race (Asian/Filipina) into this. Praxeas did, and you took it to the next level.

Neither did I say or indicate anything that would imply that maybe I "dont like Filipinos", as you tried to inject into the discussion with this:

That was patently unfair, and frankly, a low blow.
And calling Michelle Malkin a "racist" on a public forum where she would probably not be available to defend herself is not a low blow? I thought it was, so I spoke up.

So you didn't make the "charge", but then again, you did make the charge. And not only did you make the charge, but you did so with gravity and "not lightly?"

Did you make the charge or not?

I followed that and even accepted Google's drop down selection for the search words you indicated. I scanned through several of the results. The first result was an extreme Marxist site that was attacking her with the same innuendo as you did. I found no quote of anything Michelle Malkin said that even sounded racist (context or not).

At the end of the day, it's an opinion based on observation. I dont have to prove an opinion to anyone.
No you do not. I agree. You can make any kind of charge against someone that you want and then just leave that charge out there. Anyone who questions you about that charge is probably being unreasonable because we should all just accept whatever accusation you want to hurl without comment. That's why the Internet was made.

If, at the end of the day you feel Hondas are better, that's your opinion, and you're entitled to it.
How do I assimilate "Michelle Malkin is a racist" into the Toyota/Honda analogy? Is the charge of "racism" just a preference? Can one person "prefer" to call Hitler a racist and another express a different persuasion?" Are both views correct?

Show me how I attacked you, since you're implying I did.

My apologies, Pel, if you feel I attacked you. I don't see where I attacked you at all. Feel free to show me though.
I prefer to be of the opinion that you "bristled and came after me." This opinion of mine is as valid as your preference for whatever flavor of ice cream you prefer.

I was simply "asking a question." I am free to ask a question aren't I? Just as you're free to slam people with innuendo and charges of racism. All that has happened here was that I stuck up for a girl who wasn't in the room to defend herself.

Maybe.

But ChTatum, I just don't think that MOST folks made (making history) their deciding factor.

For some, "making history" was the deciding factor. However, President Obama's victory margin was wide enough so that those who voted for or against him simply because of his race just didn't matter.

Had President Obama lacked charisma, education and if he had no political background at all and had Hillary been a housewife, no more and no less, would either one of them had been attractive candidates to vote for?

Maybe President #44 would be a former lawyer from Carolina who's marital infidelities would have been forgiven just so that we don't have another 4 years of Republicans in power.

President Obama was elected on believability and on the merits that many folks perceive him to have.

Right or wrong, many Americans place our current soup sandwich squarely on the plate of GWB and are looking to BHO to be the "miracle man."

This would almost seem noble of you except that Malkin has been documented to walk like, talk like and endorse racists ducks.

She is trying to change how others view her now, but she has earned her reputation.

This unlikely President was elected in large part because GWB's approval ratings were SO BAD!

It would have been nothing short of a miracle for the Republicans to win that election.
I agree. Except I feel that a lot of GWB's approval ratings being in the tank were caused not only by the constant negative coverage he received from the media, but also much of his base felt betrayed by his foot dragging in some areas and free spending ways.

McCain seems to have gotten a larger percent of the vote than just those who dissed Bush. I think a lot of conservative types told the pollsters that Bush was doing poorly but they ended up voting for McCain anyway.

Obama won mainly because he ran a brilliant campaign. And he started that campaign back in the 1990's.

Can you help me out with this? Where did she do any of these things? I know she was strongly against illegal immigration, but I never heard her say anything racist about any group of people.

And it's not as if Malkin isn't well aware of the criticism, both of the site and her ties to it -- in a post on her blog in September 2004, she noted that "my friend Peter Brimelow [the founder of VDARE] observes that some people apparently think linking to VDARE is tantamount to a hate crime."

Then there is this:

A Time to Discriminate
“Profile” foreign donors? Of course!

By Michelle Malkin

[…]Both papers uncovered dishwashers, cooks and other suspect Hillary campaign contributors in New York’s Chinatown, Flushing, the Bronx, and Brooklyn who were limited-income, limited-English-proficient and smellier than stinky tofu. One Asian donor admitted to the Los Angeles Times “to lacking the legal-resident status required for giving campaign money.” Another, Hsiao Wen Yang, told the New York Post she was reimbursed for her $1,000 donation.[…]

And this....

Malkin is perhaps best known for her book In Defense of Internment, in which she defends modern day racial profiling and the Japanese American internment by the United States Government during World War II. This book alone is enough to condemn her.

But over the last few months, her blog has dialed up the racism even more,

http://bloggasm.com/wow-michelle-malkin-is-racist

And this link shows how she misrepresents facts to paint a picture that may not be true:

I don't trust this person's journalism at all.
