I went to the website tonight for the facilities where he is being held. That helped me relax SOME. It's just so scary tho thinking about Keith being there by himself. I know he'll be fine. I know that. But there's this Mom's heart thing......... I'd rather it was me there than him. It breaks my heart thinking how scared he has to be. I know it's good for him. I keep trying to remember that.
I really do appreciate all of you and your love and support. You've been there for me more times than I deserve. I didn't know it was possible to love people you've never seen face-to-face this much.

Time puts everything in perspective. Hopefully , in a few years you will look back at this as a bump in the road and after he has matured a little more even joke about it together.It could be a whole lot worse than kids pulling pranks.
This is so scary, we live in such a different world these days. Boy have the times changed. I remember as a kid if you did something a little crazy like your son and his friends did, as a prank. The local Sheriff or officer was called in, sure they scare you, maybe even put the kids in the car, but there was a major difference, they let both parties involved work out the punishment, and people knew their neighbors, all knew kids would be kids, sometimes do stupid stuff . If anything both parties wanted the kids to understand they did wrong, must be punished , truly sorry. Overall they wanted the kids to better themselves!
This would include cleaning up the mess, painting, etc and your allowance money, both parties would be happy on the set arrangement. The kid learned a lesson, in humiliation and realizing what they done was wrong . People/ Sheriff back then really didn't want see a youth go to Juvenile Hall for a prank!
In this day and age, I think we as a people have lost something!!! Wisdom!

I have and will have for the next little while no internet unless I come to town...However dear friend you are in my prayers. I was wondering the other day why we were chosen for a trial and the thought came to me to thank the Lord we are worthy to be in the storm...he did just send some away before he sent the disciples off into a coming storm...so all we all are going through today passed over his desk yesterday...and it is these things that cause us to draw closer to him in prayer...love you my dear friend.

Yes, a lot of the reason that many of us didn't end up locked up for three days at that age was that we just did not get caught.
For some people not getting caught is a blessing, and for some getting caught is actually a blessing. Sometimes it leads to a change of friends and patterns that were about to lead to much more serious issues.
I will be praying for a favorable outcome.
