?????????How so? I have read infinitely worse even directed at fellow AFF members. The statement was clearly hyperbole intended to illustrate how subjective different viewership is.

Sounds like you are making mockery of his age which implies age discrimination...No one here has made any racist remarks about Obama or if they have I haven't read them....OK, I am not upset. I just think as this is an "Apostolic/Christian" forum that we need to keep our posts to a high standard. I will accept your explanation. Thanks.

I've been away all day so I did not see this post until now. My point was that there is nothing that McCain could have said that would have made Fox News viewers text that Obama had won the debate, so I tried to pull out extreme things that he could have done...That is what came to mind. Maybe you could think of some better, but I was trying to think of some ridiculous things that he could have done. I was not thinking directly of his age when I said those things. I do see how it could come across that way and maybe subconsciously in thinking of extreme occurences his age did play a part. If I offended any older people I do apologize.
I am not, however, of the opinion that his age is not and should not be an issue. I think that it is unrealistic and irresponsible to not consider his age and I made that point when discussing the slection and exp[erience of his VP nominee. I certainly do believe that if Obama's relative youth can be discussed as an issue, McCain's relative age can be discussed as an issue. In that way I do believe that it is a bit different than racial remarks that I do not believe can be presented as legitimate issues.
Once again, though, my initial point was simply about how subjective different outlets and their dedicated viewership can be. I am more surprised at the number of Fox News viewers who actually said that Obama won the debate than the ones who said that McCain had won the debate. Without watching any of the debate and without watching any of the Hannity and Colmes show, I could have told you who the respective hosts had said was the clear winner...and that's a little frustrating to me.

Is it frustrating to you that MSNBC & CNN declared Obama the winner?
Actually, FoxNews has had varying opinions since the debate.

I know that many here will find it hard to believe because I am often not going the way of the majority here, but in some circles I am the ultra-con. I just see a lot of what we do politically as a game and a very juvenile one at that. I was a very vocal Bush supporter at one point and was partisan Republican to the hilt at one point, but I just see a lot of things now as political maneuvering and taking advantage of some tactical leverage points while nobody gets what they really want...except for politicians and the connected (insert bailout frustration here)
