Hehehehehehehehe! Ok! Thanks for being honest about it. I promise not to pick on you about it (unless I absolutely have to, that is).

Obama was his normal self. Very well spoken, very likeable, but gave no substance.

McCain looked great. He was the clear winner. Tonight is the very reason that Obama has rejected town hall challenges by McCain.
The funding for it has gone up under Bush's administration, though.

Don't feel to bad, I was paying our power bill and the gal had a plant on her desk, I'm like, is this real??? Without waiting for her to answer I reach over tough on the leaves and ended up with a handful of real leaves, I was so embarrassed, she shot me the evil eye, said why yes it is.

So for the last two months I've made hubby or my kids go in to pay, yep I just can't face her, I'm a wimp!

The funding to stop it maybe. Regardless, the point is that Obama had his facts wrong.

Also, I find it comical that Obama said that Clarence Thomas did not have the experience to be appointed as a Supreme Court Justice.

He had more experience in that field at the time of his appointment then what Obama has in his field now and he is wanting to be President. What a joke this guy is.

Now who's getting his facts wrong? Bush has increased funding to stop abortions? Yeah, right.

I missed the part about Clarence Thomas. I did hear about it, though, on the program immediately following the question and answer session. I was a bit surprised that he said that.

McCain was playing to the religious crowd, in my opinion, but that's ok. He isn't going to do any more about abortion than any of the previous Republican administrations have done. But hey, y'all can hope, can't ya?

The president is supposed to represent the will of the people. Yes, he must seek the best, but it comes down to what "WE THE PEOPLE WANT" . Presidents can interject their thoughts and ideal even personal beliefs on such a matter as abortion, whether they agree or disagree on such a matter it comes down to the will of the PEOPLE!

As we stand today and like years before sadly abortion will be business as usually, because "WE THE PEOPLE" have made there voiced heard, majority rules!

This is not exactly true. The people can not vote for him if they don't like what he stands for, but his allegence is to the constitution first - we are not a true Democracy, but a Constitutional Republic.

Interesting, I have always thought of us as a Representative Democracy, not a true Democracy.

While the debate concerning abortion and the protests for or against will continue in the nation the fact is the from a strict Constitutional stand point abortion in neither legal or illegal in this country because there have been no laws passed other than those already mention that legislate the status of this much argued and controversial subject.

Lawmakers in Congress realize this but because of the great controversy that abortion creates nationwide have as a whole refuse to address this subject from the stand point of the law as Congress Constitutionally establishes law thus allowing the misconception from a Constitutional stand point that abortion is, "the law of the land."

Sherri,

McCain won't fight to overturn Roe Vs. Wade either. In fact, he just said the other day that he would be open to the idea of having a VP that is Pro-Choice!

This is why McCain is not getting my vote: Obama is as far left as he can be and he does not hide it. McCain tries to appear Conservative, but in his heart, he's not.

If he wins, I'll be disappointed with him, just like I was disappointed with our current "Conservative", "honest", "Christian" President.
