Then we pay our tithes to the district.

Now they are wanting more. It is a crying shame to charge preacher and their family to come into service so that they can take up an offering for 3 hours.
Not bad for union dues. Tell them to drop the insurance and your dues will drop a fair amount (just don't tell your elders who are depending on that coverage to bury them that you are going to do it.)

One big problem with conference is that there is really only one offering (first night service) that goes to the expense of the conference. Anybody else remember the resounding thud when Bro. Libby was trying to raise that one.
Guys will be begging not to be asked.

My second message said $25 for the week if preregistered, and no charge to vote. This is subject to change again...

There must have been a late change on the voting. Originally it was first session free. Probably realized that the manual doesn't make registration a condition of voting eligibility.

This was announced today and I have a copy of the letter if you want it- every UPCI minister will get it. Meaning mine will be here in May. They fired the local Postmaster for leaving 9 pallets of Bulk Rate mail outside of the post office under tarps. They process it and I recieved 3 Pentecostal Heralds the same week! Seems like they could use email for these mailings and save some $$ there.

I will be attending the GC this year.

Instead of the $100 to $400 that I normally give voluntarily in all offerings, in the aggregate, I will only pay the $25.00 that I am compelled to pay.

Not UPC basing, but we are witnessing the gradual demise (as we have known it) of a once great organization. I believe the beginning of the demise began in 1992. So sad. I hope that they pull out of their mess. This particular mess is only symptomatic of much deeper, systemic problem(s).

Only an opinion.

Give back all the tithes you've collected.
