Check out the New Testament. Those early church leaders had conflicts left and right!
Of course we should strive for unity, etc. I am only pointing out that as long as human beings are involved there will be conflict.

Well while they were over in the Phillapines trying to recruit our pastors they were offering them more money to join their fellowship.

My friend, you obviously know nothing about the Philippine trip. I was there.......not one time was anyone (UPCI or otherwise) offered any money to "join the WPF." In fact the pastors who I preached for in Bohol did not even know I was not UPCI. They did not know because we had no discussion with them regarding the UPCI/WPF. We were in Bohol to plan a conference for later this year (which has been done for the past 7-8 years) not to recruit members to the WPF.
I did make a WPF presentation to pastors in Manila, in a meeting that I arranged and sponsored. This was with a group of pastors that I have worked with for a number of years who are independent, and from what was posted here on AFF, are folks that the UPCI wouldn't be interested in. There were some UPCI ministers who attended that meeting, however, they were not invited by us. They came at the invite of some of my Philippine pastors. We made it very clear to all of them that the WPF was a new Fellowship forming in the states and that we did not know when/if we would be establishing a WPF Philippines, as that is not really part of the missions structure of the WPF.
I will not engage in a long drawn out discussion on this topic again..........however, when I see untruths being stated, I get a little agitated.
Please do not take my response as a personal attack. I am not against anyone on this forum, I just think we need to be factual.

Re: Branson Meeting
I have worked in the Philippines and mean no disrespect to anyone by this statement...however ...most will run and change oranizations for a dollar more than they recieve anywhere else...Do I blame them? Probably not...if I lived in the depths of poverty they live in I too would be inthe soup line...
I have friends on both sides of the fence but I personally think WPF should have waited and NOT involved the foreign fields...to split works is easy...to start works from ground up and take no one`s preachers...raise up your own is another story...
I am just a woman so my voice or opinion does not matter to most...but I had rather walk away from a work and be misunderstood by the nationals than divide and cause talk...
in our lives we did that so I speak as a voice of experience and not a novice...I had ather suffer than cause divisions in a work...
That is only my opinion...

Re: Branson Meeting
We must be very careful and lean not to our fleshly desires to get even...to puch my side...to show my point...to prove that I am right the other is wrong....
NO, I am not UPCI...
I remember when the AMF was formed so I have been around a while...They too found missionaries and nationals that would work with them...they too had a cause...
I think if people do not agree with the UPCI then they should get out...and many of the men that got out are NOT running down the UPCI...however it would be easy just to form a bandwagon of the discontent...the discontent one place unless a REAL conviction is the reason will soon be discontent somewhere else...

Re: Branson Meeting
and I will continue...I think sometimes new groups are needed...new visions, new strength...
However we must be careful that we do not start off with a big fire and then it burn down to nothing as many groups do...
Of all the groups that are ultra con if I were to think about joining it might be the WWF for many of the men believe in women in ministry and we have many women in the work here...I would never do anything to hurt some struggling lady that is working in the vineyard...as I have often said I am not ordained and never plan to be but I know there are women God places in certain places and I would never join anything that would hurt them and do not care to be around men that say cutting things about women.
I would never hold a card with some group that would be cruel to someone else...

Re: Branson Meeting
continuing....
I do not think Americans that have never been life long missionaries realize the harm they can do in the name of good works and expanding the gospel...
Life is hard on most mission fields...the foreigner sees Americans as rich...the American that pays the preacher becomes the boss...
Believe me many nationals that hold your hat, carry your briefcase have dollar marks in their eyes...The American runs to the states and tells all his stories about the people....but does not even know that behind many acts of "goodwill" were thoughts of making money to survive...
Dooes that mean the nationals do everything for money? Of course not but it is a whole different ballgame when YOU LIVE on the field...

You know, I don't know all of the politics behind this whole split between the UPC and WPF. I have made it a point not to jump in on sides. I am not for either one here. I don't know who is recruiting who or what... I usually overlook that stuff because only those who are actually there are saw things go on have only a little insight on what it really going on. A former pastor of mine used to say " Believe nothing of what you hear and only half of what you see."
Why I jumped in this time, is because I don't find it one bit entertaining to accuse men, men of God, of such things as watching porn and such. That is heart breaking....I don't agree with everyone here, that is for sure... But everyone here does claim to be a christian and the last time I checked, Christ like men and women were not going around accusing men of such immorality and ungodly acts.
So while I can let all the other discussion go on without it bothering me, I think those other kind of statements are over the line!
 BTW have a happy day!
