The second big idiot thing I have done is to put this on the internet, where EVERYONE can read it. lol

Laughter is the best medicine! Glad you got a laugh out of it! Hope it heals your tummy. We have got a lot of mileage out of this one.

OK so i have this friend...
He had very little exposure to non-Pentecostal religion. His family is known to laugh alot and they all have a great sense of humor.
As a somewhat wayward teenager he started dating a devout Catholic girl...
Things progressed a bit and he was invited to meet her family and dine with them at a formal dinner.
The Catholic father gave a little speech and prayed, making the sign of the cross - in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost - then sealed the prayer with a rather elaborate kiss to the fingertips and swoop of his arm upward...
MY FRIEND TOTALLY LOST IT!!!
He was chased out of the house!
Needless to say, today he is married to a nice Pentecostal girl and pastoring a church!!
There is more than one way to marry in the church...

I I I I dunno... LOL...
seriously he is a good man,,, when my mom lost her leg (diabetes was original cause but...) she lost it due to an infection she got in the hospital (mrsa) and she was forced to go to that hospital because the day before she got sick they changed ins companies... well when we wrote a letter complaining about the care and gave proof she had gotten the infection there and the unsanitary conditions... he in turn called my dad that next week and offered attnys and new drs paid for all med bills at that instance and was just very good to our family... Has been a constant source of moral support during the lose of my mom in the last year also...

I will tell one for MrBOOM.....
He likes to tell of his Bible School days when there was a minister and his Dad sitting together in Sunday Morning Adult Class at a certain UPC Church in Bridgeton. His Dad fell asleep and and the Adult teacher was teaching away. The son nudged his Dad and said, "Dad, they want you to dismiss in prayer". So while the teacher was still teaching, he stood and started to dismiss....."OUR HEAVENLY FATHER, WE ARE THANKFUL" ....needless to say the son owed his Dad apologies big time.
I know this wasn't a story written in the first person and for that I apologize....but you gotta admit it is funny!
