Seems to me that this entire thread is selfish and self serving.

If you all were REAL people of God, you'd be healed, or at least not be mentioning your pain.

How dare you expect others to be concerned about your pain or understand your needs!

(complete tongue in cheek post - sorry)

Love y'all. I'm praying for all those with chronic pain. I know that I myself would not be able to handle what you suffer from.

I wish there was something I could say or do that would make it go away.

The symptoms I have are harder to pinpoint than most allergy symptoms, but I am tired most of the time and suffer from sinus headaches and get a mild but searing lung pain. Sometimes I have chest pain especially in the fall. I very seldomly feel very good. I'm just used to it I guess, but I always am looking for ways to improve as it seems prescription meds don't help me much or the side effects really get to me. I try to eat right and take different vitamin and herbal supplements. I recently cut back on sugar as well. I have raynauds in my fingers and toes. I also suffer from digestive trouble that I believe is connected to allergies. I recently gave up my one morning cup of cappucinno and it seems to make a difference. Sometimes I feel angry when I see a smoking, overweight person (or such like) who does not take care of themselves and they seem full of energy and life. I seldomly talk about this because most people really don't seem to understand.

Hear you, I use to run 5 miles a day six days a week until 2003. I have Fibromyalgia and in pain most days, yet I do my best to stay healthy, eat right, exercise on the treadmill 5 days for three mills, etc.

I think there are more people out here that understand then we think. Ive talked openly about pain, and the result has been a lot of others have shared with me the chronic pain they live with....quietly.

Well, maybe I should talk more. I think it's just that I started out in the UPC talking about emotional pain and that never got anywhere. Emotional pain is more eshewed than physical pain.

However, emotional pain, like depression CAN actually cause physical pain too - usually associated with stress.

Absolutely. I think that some (maybe most) of the physical pain I have now is from years of not being allowed to express the emotional pain I was feeling with acceptance. This is why I am a big proponent of allowing people to grieve what they have been through even though people who do so are consistently called "whiners" by some.
