The same Anthony Mangun in the UPC, Alexandria, VA.

Everyone needs to understand this is only my thoughts.

No need to get frustrated with me.

I was asked the question about AM.

I did not throw his name out there.....

I do think that there are alot of preachers that yell and Shockamoo and all the did was waist their voice and energy. I remember when I was a YP and was preaching that the "leaders" of that church told me I had to get wilder and louder. I never was monotone that I know of. I do not believe I was boring either. But I was told to get excited. I did, but I didn't Shockamoo.

Now on the point of prosperity by JF.....
I have watched him more than 100 times. He preaches prosperity, but not that God will make you rich. That is unbiblical. I have heard more messages about fasting, praying and reaching the lost than I have ever heard him preaching about money.

To say that he is preaching prosperity by itself, that is not true at all.
How about we just leave it not at context of their sermons.

I just do not enjoy their style.

AM is from LA not VA.

The context is important to the message though. I understand what you are saying though. There are people that I enjoy what they are saying not how they say it. There was a guy that I heard a few weeks ago. He preached ok, kept repeating everything though. The thing was that the harder he preached the more he sounded like Kermit the Frog. I kept waiting for him to say, "Piggy you must be baptized."

There are definately people I do not enjoy their style. AM happens to be one of my favs, but that is because I feel the passion of it. IMO.

Here's my opinion, since everyone else has thiers.
It's the foolishness of preaching thats saves. If a man gets excited and hyped, (as someone else here so elequently put it) then so be it. If someone gets saved by the foolish babblings of a preacher, then what difference does it make how he presents it? I personally don't care how someone presents thier sermon as long as someone gets saved. BTW, I enjoy preachers like Anthony Mangun and Jeff Arnold, my favorite Apostolic preacher is Norman Wagner.

The preaching of the cross is considered "foolish" to the unbeliever. To the believer, it is the power of God.
This has absolutely NOTHING to do with presentation!!!!

I did think it was a great Pentecost Sunday message. I don't know how many recevied the Holy Spirit baptism but at the 10:30 am service there were probably 15 people or more in the altar.

You didn't use an analogy. You took the scripture out of context.

Actually I didn't. The point was: to the one who is hearing the sermon, and he becomes saved, it doesn't matter how ones style is as long as he gets saved. Do not read into what I'm saying Berk!
