This is why i recently got one - because of the way others percieve it - not because I wanted one. Not sure I would say it's "shameful" not to wear one, since I understand the intent of those who do not.

I really began to be glad to have one on because I was in the public workforce for the first time about the time I started wearing one.

We lived in Calif when I was pregnant with three of our kids, and Calif look down at dead beat parents, out wedlock moms. Your viewed as another cow feeding off the system. My grandmother who know gone would tell me, where your ring, people are going to talk and think you went got yourself knocked up...:sshhh I always though that sounded funny knocked-up...
