Heb 9:22
Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin.
Heb 10:22 And our bodies are washed in pure water.
Romand 6:3-4 Know ye not, or in today's terms (Da!) that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death.
End of verse 4 so we also should walk in newness of life.
Repentence in
Acts 2:38 application of baptism being baptized into Christ and his death. Translated dipped into the blood of the cross.
As
Hebrews 10:22 puts it our bodies into pure water.
1 Peter 3:20-21 Eight were saved by water.
The key phrase is The like figure, once again the writer in today's term's (Da!) wereunto even baptism doth also "Now" save us.
Col 2:12 Buried with him baptism.....verse 13 hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses.
Does Christ forgive sin at repentance of once you are buried with him?
Repentance is from the Greek word Metanoia is primarily an after-thought, different from the former thought; a change of mind accompanied by regret and change of conduct, "change of mind and heart", or, "change of consciousness".
One of the key descriptions of repentance in the New Testament is the parable of the prodigal son found in the Gospel of
Luke 15 beginning at verse 11.
Repentance and change of your mind and heart does not apply God's saving grace or redemption to your soul.
The application of the power in the blood of Jesus is applied at the death of the sinful nature in man inherited from Adam.
That death is applied in the pure waters of baptism in the Name of Jesus.
There was a death dealt to the high priest in the Tabernacle of another kind if he did not wash his hands.
Repent and change your human heart for the next 50 years of your life.
That does not apply the blood needed for the remission of sins...
As for the water representing the spirit or the word.
The act of water baptism is not representative of the spirit or the word.
It represents the connection of the death and burial of Jesus Christ...
