My hypothesis most people subconciously don't believe in wearing wedding bands because of the cost. It's easier to preach against them than allow them and have to buy one... lol

Personally, if God wants to do this then IMO He is declaring that it is HIS perogative and not ours.

No, it's that if God thought Jewelry was sinful then why deck the church out with them?

I don't want to wear a wedding band. I respect your right to wear one if you do. Are you married?

I guess men in your age group never think to approach someone in their own age group, huh? At least that is what I am getting from some of the posts around here. Your old and used up apparently, so why would anyone think to ask you out? That is a bunch of hogwash. My mom is pushing 60 and still gets hit on all the time. Men know a good woman when they see one no matter how old they are. I think all these arguments in favor of wearing a wedding ring are a joke, imo.

The difference, Brother, is that what the Bible is talking about is not simple braiding of the hair. It's a very fancy way of intertwining strips of gold into the braids. I was pretty suprised when I found this out myself, because I always took it the two terms to mean the same thing. They are similar, in tha the hair is braided, but broiding involes adding gold.
