Re: 5 Things AFF Doesn't Know About Me!

ILG,
your testimony resulted in my thoughts going toward the true witness of:
"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. "

The him is Satan, the accuser of the brethren.

This thread has been a place where transparency results in:
appreciation
reflection
laughter
hope

The death that works in us by our journey in this life is profittable.

Yes, our testimony keeps us in God.

I was in the military.

I won a full tuition scholarship to Dillard University in N.O.

I had a chance to model when I was 15 but my dad was staunchly against it!

Some know...I am a licensed minister.

I used to sing in a secular group.

Esther,

Many are about Africa (hunting, history, Nile explorers, language, etc.). Many are about religion. Biographies. A few spy novels. Business. Art. Very few novels. Several first editions. Love books.

Re: 5 Things AFF Doesn't Know About Me!

1. Bro. Clyde Haney used to tease me about my "pigtails" when he would visit my grandfather. They used to spend a lot of time in the mountains together.

2. I sang twice at General Conference. Scared me to death.

3. Pricilla McGruder (sp) babysat me when she was a teen.

4. I have to look at the stars every night or my evening is not complete

Re: 5 Things AFF Doesn't Know About Me!

My husband's Dad died suddenly when he was 16. He had to work the family farm hard until they sold it. His Mom had a really hard time and went on Prozac and just about went nuts (going off Prozac helped prevent that....Prozac can be bad news). My husband was 18 when we got married and got into the UPC.

After all this, we got the Holy Ghost, settled down, had a baby, bought a house, worked hard and lived happily ever after because we miraculously turned into perfect little church people and never had any problems.

Re: 5 Things AFF Doesn't Know About Me!

I worked in El Paso Texas for Rev. Molter upon graduating from JCM and when I left I could not afford to take all my belongings so I left my clothes and took two trunk loads of books.

I have enough books to start my own library.

My father would not let me drive his car...ever. He said that I was blind from reading books by flashlight under the covers when I was a child. LOL

Forever a bookworm,
Rhoni
