Didn't Paul admonish the church to keep the traditions they had been taught?

Eyes open people.
Had another guy running the aisles...eyes closed again...pastors wife had wandered into the oncoming path with her eyes closed as well...he opened his eyes a second before collision and literally vaulted over the corner section.

That's hilarious!

Traditions that were the WORD OF GOD....not traditions and doctrines of men.
Not armchair quarterbacking this thing...having to eat my own cooking on some things...not always pleasant and convenient but such is the price of freedom.
How about when Paul talks about headcoverings and women keeping silent in the church and in the same book says....
1Corinthians 13:37 If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you are the commandments of the Lord. 38 But if anyone is ignorant, let him be ignorant.[e]

Yes, those traditions have been preserved for us in the Bible. Hence my comment about traditions that are NOT IN THE WORD.

Does your pastor have the authority to establish platform standards? Do you have a pastor? Some traditions are harmless, like no colored shirts behind the pulpit. Some traditions do real harm.

Only the Word can bind the conscience, all else is personal opinion and or preference. When opinions of men are taught as "God's will" then the worship is empty and God does not accept it.

Re: Old Paths?
But to be fair it isn't just Christianity. It is every religion. From Islam to Hinduism. Opinions, Hinduism more than any other because each Guru makes up his own opinion concerning the Upanishads.

Re: Old Paths?
And opinion is simply what one believes? If I believe in Jesus that is MY OPINION. An opinion can be true or false.
