Re: T. F. Tenney Has Passed Away

Just watched some parts of the service I had missed. One of the speakers I had missed was Jentezen Franklin. Don't blast me, but I love Jentezen. And what he said was incredible.

I don't want to butcher it, so go about an hour and 20 minutes into the service to see Jentezen speak.

He appealed to Manguns, Williams and others of the UPC --- the tribe inside the wall --- to go outside the wall as TFT did. He said "don't change or compromise what you believe, but there are men out there who need your voice, who need your anointing, who need to drink from your well, cause there's nothing like it."

Incredible testimony of how TFT counseled and helped the Franklin's through a very tough time.

Re: T. F. Tenney Has Passed Away

I left the UPC in 2007 and the pentecostal movement not long after. Seems like a lifetime ago . . . in fact it was. I haven't posted on this forum since 2013.

I just want to say that TFT was a great man and many who our outside the movement truly respected him. His legacy and example to the Louisiana District has left a monumental impact on the area. My parents are members of a Louisiana church and their pastor and bishop both have a caring and loving attitude that no doubt was because of the influence of TFT. My little brother is married to the pastors daughter so we interact several times a year with pentecostals other than family and I am always impressed with the folks in the Louisiana area.

I remember my mother taking me to Louisiana Camp meeting as a child and sitting on the floor during service and I seem to remember hearing him preach one time back then. A LONG LONG time ago.

Here is the Home Going Service from YouTube. I believe it's queued to when Jentezen Franklin begins speaking.
