In hindsight, how much do you think Kandy Crowley's comment changed the election? Romney seemed to have all the momentum until that moment. I think it was a significant event. And wonder what would have happened if Romney would have continued making his point while Crowley stood in silence.

That's it, it was to save face after declaring that Al Qaeda was no more. It would've been a political liability with 6 weeks of campaigning and debates to go to have egg on your face with an Al Qaeda affiliate killing your ambassador and three other Americans in Benghazi.

Now Democratic Reps. Doris Matsui, Henry Waxman, and Anna Eschoo want to include broadband internet with Lifeline; cause people shouldn't have to pay to update their Facebook status or read HuffPost.

And they wonder why California is so bankrupt. It's because moron's like this (only in the State Legislature) want to give freebies to everyone. Because it's only fair, right?

This Lifeline program needs to be scrapped and redone. It's far too politicized now, far too bloated and abused. Back in the 80s I could understand the need for it, but today, no. And if they think it needs to continue, then it needs to be standard cell phone plans - NO data.

The FCC says: Lifeline is a government benefit program that provides discounts on monthly telephone service for eligible low-income consumers to help ensure they have the opportunities and security that telephone service affords, including being able to connect to jobs, family, and 911 services.

If that's the case, give a cell phone; but block data service. No texts, no internet, just a phone to be able to connect to their employer, family and 911 services.

And definitely do not include broadband internet service. Not everything in life should be free.

The program expanded because of the recession brought on by the bush.
If you want to say Obama expanded something get you facts right.
