There now is some speculation that all the warming gained since4 1979 may be gone by 2025.

Its about to get chilly and chilly is always bad for the globe.
Do you have a reputable source?

Cold is bad... Less vegetation. I proph... I'm guessing more famines across the globe, high gas bills, paler skin tones,...

Re: Really?

I love maple syrup. One of the only things I'm NOT willing to put it on is pancakes (I usually put peanut butter on mine). LOL

But I DO love drizzling maple syrup on sausage!

There are hundreds of sites that will give you information on sunspot activity.

Not sure this is exactly a "reputable source" as it relates to the conclusions they are making but this link shows a graph that is very telling.

It shows sunspot activity for the last several hundred years (yes we really do have that information) and it places the warming periods as well as the cooling events (little Ice Age and Maunder Minimum) in perspective.

as you can see we are in cycle 24 and the projection for completion is low with cycle 25 projected to be very light.

http://wattsupwiththat.com/2013/04/2...es-in-the-sun/

Based on Henrik Svensmark 2007 paper High Solar activity drives less cloud formation, and thus a warmer planet, where low solar activity drives more cloud formation and thus a cooler planet.

Re: Really?

This is going to get me shot.... I know, I know, Im the Food Pope, but seriously this is true confession time.

I prefer fake maple syrup to the real thing...especially for breakfast.... Now I wont cook with the fake stuff and do use the real stuff when cooking etc, but for putting it on a pancake, or french toast or waffels, or even with sausage... etc... the real stuff taste wierd to me. I like the fake stuff

Actually, my son DID barbeque because the power went out about 10 AM and stayed off until the middle of the night sometime last night!! Boy, we use electricity for SO many things! So, the kids went out and shoveled off the barbeque grill and shoveled a path on the deck and we had hot barbeque for supper! It was good!. Fortunately, we have a gas fireplace so we ran that. And for entertainment, us pathetic people watched videos on my husband's work laptop because it has a battery! LOL! We could have played a game, but my daughter didn't want to.
