I just found this Bio on Herman Cain;

Herman Cain is running for president. He’s not a career politician (in fact he has never held political office). He’s known as a pizza guy, but there’s a lot more to him. He’s also a computer guy, a banker guy, and a rocket scientist guy.

•Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.
•Master’s degree in Computer Science.
•Mathematician for the Navy, where he worked on missile ballistics (making him a rocket scientist).
•Computer systems analyst for Coca-Cola.
•VP of Corporate Data Systems and Services for Pillsbury (this is the top of the ladder in the computer world, being in charge of information systems for a major corporation).




All achieved before reaching the age of 35. Since he reached the top of the information systems world, he changed careers!
•Business Manager. Took charge of Pillsbury’s 400 Burger King restaurants in the Philadelphia area, which were the company’s poorest performers in the country. Spent the first nine months learning the business from the ground up, cooking hamburger and yes, cleaning toilets. After three years he had turned them into the company’s best performers.
•Godfather’s Pizza CEO. Was asked by Pillsbury to take charge of their Godfather’s Pizza chain (which was on the verge of bankruptcy). He made it profitable in 14 months.
•In 1988 he led a buyout of the Godfather’s Pizza chain from Pillsbury. He was now the owner of a restaurant chain. Again he reached the top of the ladder of another industry.
•He was also chairman of the National Restaurant Association during this time. This is a group that interacts with government on behalf of the restaurant industry, and it gave him political experience from the non-politician side.




Having reached the top of a second industry, he changed careers again!
•Adviser to the Federal Reserve System. Herman Cain went to work for the Federal Reserve Banking System advising them on how monetary policy changes would affect American businesses.
•Chairman of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank. He worked his way up to the chairmanship of a regional Federal Reserve bank. This is only one step below the chairmanship of the entire Federal Reserve System (the top banking position in the country). This position allowed him to see how monetary policy is made from the inside, and understand the political forces that impact the monetary system.




After reaching the top of the banking industry, he changed careers for a fourth time!
•Writer and public speaker. He then started to write and speak on leadership. His books include Speak as a Leader, CEO of Self, Leadership is Common Sense, and They Think You’re Stupid.
•Radio Host. Around 2007—after a remarkable 40 year career—he started hosting a radio show on WSB in Atlanta (the largest talk radio station in the country).



He did all this starting from rock bottom (his father was a chauffeur and his mother was a maid). When you add up his accomplishments in his life—including reaching the top of three unrelated industries: information systems, business management, and banking—Herman Cain may have the most impressive resume of anyone that has run for the presidency in the last half century.

I was liking him mostly because of his debate performsances. I like him even more now!!!!

This is exactly how I feel about it.

I rarely get seriously angry with politicians, but today is an exception. I am seriously angry with one politician, and he isn’t on the left. That politician is Herman Cain. The reason I am this angry with Cain is because I actually liked him before now. I liked his straightforward style, his economic acumen and his real world experience. Cain was not my first choice for the nomination because of his lack of experience, but I was happy he was in the race and pushing some common sense solutions. That feeling has completely disappeared this week.

Most conservatives are tired of being accused of racism for not agreeing with every leftist policy and talking point. These attempts diminish real racism and create a political environment where policy debates become impossible. As I have said before, the left now consistently uses the term racist to actually mean someone who opposes their policies. Those same policies have created a culture of dependency and devastated minority communities for decades. Herman Cain knows this or at least he should, so I was shocked to see him joining in on the attack against Perry.

Update: It appears Herman Cain has responded to the controversy. While I appreciate him trying to walk back the comments, that is not nearly enough in my opinion. His comments were much stronger than the walk back and have already been used by the media. He needs to issue a serious apology and go out of his way to defend Perry at this point.

Herman Cain's 999 Plan: Do We Really Need It?


Let's start with the 9% income tax for individuals. This actually does not sound too bad.

Next is the 9% income tax for businesses. This would eliminate confusion that is similar to that of the individual income taxes.

Finally, the 9% national sales tax makes me feel a little nervous. In the United States we already have both a state and federal income tax. Likewise, most states already have a sales tax. Will a 9% national sales tax replace state sales taxes or be in addition to them? If it replaces state sales taxes, how much are states going to raise income taxes to make up the difference? As a sole proprietor, how much red tape will I ned to go through to get the proper federal permit to collect sales tax without having employees? Honestly, I'd rather sales tax be left up to the states. This uneasiness may be why Herman Cain did not explain his plan at the Florida GOP debate.

A Real Reason To Be Mad At Herman Cain

Thus far, Cain has been running as the pro-business candidate who successfully turned around the failing Godfather’s Pizza franchise after working in the corporate offices of the Pillsbury Company. His lack of political experience is always countered by touting his decades’ worth of success in business. Positions at Godfather’s, Pillsbury and his post as chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City are listed as part of his official campaign biography. His part in the major downfall of Aquila – where he was on the board of directors for much of the 1990s and early 2000s – is nowhere to be found.

Yes, it is expected for a candidate to try and hide his skeletons, but he should also expect to eventually be exposed. Herman Cain, you are exposed.

Something I have spoke about with a few of my friends is the fact that all of the major cities in America have the same problems and have had the same problems (crime, poverty, joblessness, low-level education) for at least the past 4 decades-- four decades of Democrat controlled policies and laws at the local level that have done little if anything to help the plight of our major cities.

It's appalling that Fox News is in the tank for Romney. I did post a while back that I saw a suspicious headline having Romney and Rubio in the same title. That is what I think they are pushing for. The media deciding for us who we should vote for.

I will vote for who gets the nomination, but I will be voting for Perry in the primaries. He has done a fantastic job in Texas and the soft on immigration is not true.

Perry IS soft on immigration.

GWB wanted a fence.
Cain wants a fence.
Perry says a fence is not acceptable.
