I dont think its prophets, but more of the Gift of prophecy working in people.
I have seen a man who will get everyone in the church up in a line, Then starts basically reading your own mail back to you.

He isnt a prophet, its the Gift of prophecy working in Him.
God spoke through prophets, but now speak through his Son. So I dont think we so much have prophets these days. we have Holy Ghost filled people who have been using the Gift of prophesy.

The Message of the Bride (the Church) coincides with what the Spirit is speaking to the world.... COME.

OK, I do not believe some of that stuff about William Branham, like he was THE 7th age messenger and some of that other stuff, but, I do believe he was a prophet. I think he got out of kilter there toward the end though and maybe God removed him (notice I said maybe).

I know people that I consider apostles and prophets. They are not infallible. I do not believe the NT apostles and prophets were infallible --think of the disputes between Peter and Paul and Paul and Barnabas for a couple of examples. I do not believe everything they did and said was perfect and error free. I do believe that when Paul wrote what later became our NT, he was guided by God and kept from error.

You can be highly active in the gifts and be in major error. The Corinthians were told by Paul that they came behind no one in the use of the gifts but they were so carnal and were in sins that the Pagans werent even involved in.

Branham was highly gifted in Word of Knowledge but where he erred is that he didnt have anyone helping keep him in line on his teaching....he wasnt a teacher and should not have tried branching out in that.

Sam was a great guy with significant insight.

I have know a few prophets. They were liars and egomaniacs who shipwrecked the faith of many.

Never in my life have I met a real prophet or apostle.

But then, I don't get around much.
