Got it? Ok, turn to the book of Revelation. Hint: It's the last book in the Bible.
Did you find it yet? Ok, this next part is rough, so get ready...
God inspired the Bible. He gave John a dream. John shared that dream with us.
Got it? Great...please return for class tomorrow children.
__________________ Jeremiah chapter 4 and verse 21 KJV
How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet?
1 Cor. chapter 14 and verse 8 KJV
8For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?
Joel chapter 2 and verse 1
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;
It may come a surprise to some that the word "rapture" is not in the Bible.
Rapture is in the bible if you read the Latin translation. It is the word RAPTURA used in 1 Thess 4. But I agree pretrib is error.

"Many Christians do not try to understand what was written in a verse in the Bible. Instead they approach the passage to prove what they already believe."
Thank you for taking truth in a serious manner. Hopefully your exhortation will cause someone to stop and think about the issue. Most Oneness seem to be pre trib. Its sad.

I stopped, I thought, I'm not sure about it, and I moved on.
Well, I figured out the hour of His coming. It is at the 2 pm hour. Someone else can figure out the day and the year - I got the hard part.
Tribulation is a fascinating subject, and as Timmy noted, all of this stuff must be there for a reason. Just to provide us with some interesting Jewish writings to tickle our imaginations? But, on a more serious perspective. As was pointed out in the lead-in post. Christians are being hounded throughout the world, even as the Jews are again coming under international fire. As the scriptures say, "You shall be hated for no reason."
While many are looking for devils behind every door and others are simply waiting for the Lord to come and pick them them up, out of the lion's den, most are still unaware that it really makes no difference when Jesus returns. The question remains: If you are martyred tomorrow, like hundreds of others will be, or sometime next week, like another thousand or two, or if you just to pass quietly in your sleep tonight - will you be ready to meet Jesus face to face and His judgment of you and your life - right now? Tribulation or no?

To YOU it might not make a difference when Jesus returns but the Spirit of YHWH inspired this:
3] Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;2 Thess 2:3
The Spirit says all who teach the Lord is coming before these 2 things happen are deceiving you. Isnt that simple?

For me, if I am not ready to meet Jesus when my life is required of me (my numbered days are accounted by God), it makes no difference to me if He comes tonight or in another 10,000 years from now. Always looking toward the future, without a full consideration for one's life today, is to be self-deluded concerning the consequences of "I always have tomorrow syndrome" or the other one, "I'll be rescued, so I don't have to worry about anything." Both of these are dangerous paths to take.
For those who have not yet experienced the tribulation of this world for Christ's sake, persecution (tribulation) that the majority of the church experiences goes by largely unnoticed - can't be too bad because it hasn't touched me. (Also note Revelation 13:1-9)
Look to the signs of the times and be content to know that your redemption draws near - yet the fields have a great harvest that need to be brought in before the storm hits in all of its furry.
