You do have to have some pretty good reasons to be there. The land and the water will only support a relatively small population in much of the state.
The resort areas - well, they're pretty but you have to put up with every loony that comes through. And, the prices are absurd and housing is hard to come by.
Where I grew up was marked on the map as "The Great American Desert," and that included much of Wyoming. Our closest neighbor was a Minute Man ICBM silo and underground launch control center. We had the equivalent of 60 Hiroshima atomic bombs parked at the far end of the calf pasture.

Sheesh....... Wyo is not a bad place to live folks, and they aren't as racist as folks paint them. Idaho or Utah is more racist than Wyo.

I suspect that most here (myself included) who were bothered, were not bothered by the fact that 97% of the population is white. We were bothered by the fact that you used this as a selling point for moving there.
