They just need reminding of where they came from just like the Isrealites did after deliverance from Egypt. They were to celebrate the Passover every year.

If this be true ... the reference I made of 1 John could be part of that gospel 'reminder' .... hmmm

Honestly, I haven't read many books written by Apostolic Oneness theologians. I have a few, but they remain unread.

Acts is the history of the church the Epistles are written to the saved. Dan along with Bernie is NOT a fan of Acts because the history of the Apostolic church given in Acts doesn't sound like the Baptist message they believe.
The ONLY way a man can recieve remission of sins in this dispensation after he has repented is to be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ. The invocation of the name in baptism remits past sins through obedience of faith in the shed blood of Calvary.

My boss and I were discussing the bible recently and he was trying to prove that baptism wasn't salvational. Why would the bible mention baptism several times if it is not necessary?

Why do so many people equate "not being salvific" with "not being necessary"?

Future sins? Only God knows if we will commit future sins. But for the present state of affairs in our lives 1 John 1:6-9 addresses these things.
