Good grief! Calm down! What are you doing - watching CNN or something? LOL!
lol I wondered the same thing.

Personally, I do agree that children should be off limits. However, I am not convinced that if the Obama girls were older they would not be more of a focal point. If they were older and were either pregnant, had an abortion, or anything like that, I think they would be much more of a target. Even without something sensational I think they would be much more apt to be discussed if they were older.
I do not recall a Presidential spouse discussed as much as MO. I'm not saying that people should not discuss her, I'm just saying that based on what I've seen and what the current climate is, I'm not sure that older children would not have been more discussed.
Yeah case in point the Bush girls got some negative press, but they were older.
The obama girls are still little kids, hopefully everyone has sense enough to leave them alone...even letterman
And you repeating that misconception may give her credibility in someone's book, but not mine.
You have more credibility in my book than she does.
As for the "attacks", Our President is getting chewed up left and right by some of the Conservatives-- some of their criticism is justifiable, IMO.
But painting Palin as the victim is not justifiable at all.
She's nobody's victim but her own.
Sorry, Jermyn I don't agree with you on this. She is a victim of a media gone wild. They were extremely biased in their reporting. They have not treated SP fairly, and again I will say if they treated OB the same way they have treated SP you would be hearing the racist card played loud and clear.

Just because you say it doesn't it make it true.
In fact, the more you repeat it, the less credible you make yourself to appear.
Given the very clearly demonstrated ineptitude of Palin on subjects as simple as, "What magazines have you read", anything she proclaims as fact should be viewed as suspect-- WHEN YOU HAVE OTHERS WHO ARE NOT SUSPECT CLEARLY STATING THAT SHE IS NOT TELLING THE TRUTH.
Who would you believe: the Cop that says he has evidence that the former drug dealer smelled of marijuana or the former drug dealer who says it is not true?
Obviously, you will answer that you need to examine the evidence or just simply beleive the Cop.
Using this logic, who would you believe: Palin who has opened her mouth and proven her ignorance on a national stage, repeatedly, or the camp of a very respectable politician who has a lot more to lose in "lying" on Sarah?
I believe the McCain camp-- a direct political representation of the Senator himself.
To try to separate the 2 is not good logic-- especially since he has not tried to separate himself from them.
So who do you believe-- Senator McCain or Sarah?

the Clintons made the media take their hands off of Chelsea as well.
I agree the children should be left out of the political mess.
The Clintons protectiveness of Chelsea was right. This has been long standing practice. the Bush girls had a handfull of reports of their negitive actions in college, but media types to them to task (as they should have).
It is very telling when the media treads GWB with more fairness than they have with Palin.

Palin puts herself out there.
She makes it justifiable to scrutinize her.
Just like the former drug dealer who gets pulled over by the Cop who thought they got a whiff of marijuanna-- Palin makes herself suspect!
She gets no pity.
She needs to go raise her family in peace, away from the camera's glaring eyes.
If she stayed out of the media, EVENTUALLY somebody else will be making more headlines.
There is a scripture for this concept:
"Resist the devil and he will flee from you."
Sarah can't resist.
She's addicted.
Maybe a good, anonymous, 12 step program will do her good.
