Maybe I should have reversed the phrase, "we are capable of living a perfect life by the power of the Holy Ghost in us"

i often get reemed when I make the statement that one can live a perfect, sinless life through Jesus Christ. Not saying its easy. But I do believe one can live without sin.

Seriously, I agree - through Jesus Christ! "Perfect" meaning "mature", therefore, if we are sincerely walking with Him we are "mature" at whatever stage in our walk we are on. Everyone is at a different stage, just like a child learning to crawl, walk, stand, etc. That child is "perfect" at his crawling stage, walking stage, standing stage, etc.

We alreay have a perfect sinless life , His name is Jesus Christ !

As far as being without sin , that is not possible . We are all still sinners , regardless of whether we do a sin or not .

The scripture says " Live in the Spirit and the lust of your flesh will not be fulfilled . "

The very fact that we have " lust of the flesh " proves we are still sinners , yet the Spirit brings us success when we would otherwise fail . The Word of God teaches us that " He always causes us to triumph " so we can conclude that while we are at best sinners in self but in Christ we have the seed that cannot sin .

Christ ever lives to make intercession for us and the reason is because we can never present ourselves faultless but this is what Jesus does for us on a constant basis because He alone is our salvation as in " the Author and Finisher of our faith . "

It is a beautiful picture of the grace of God to allow His Spirit to pray for us , Advocate , Intercede and present us " faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy " !!

Awesome analogy of " growing in grace " . When we as His children understand that He understands everything about us in all the stages then we have no fear at all , we just have more trust and more dependence on God as our Daddy !
