I don't have an issue with beards, mustaches, goatees, van dykes, soul patches, etc.
However is it a STANDARD that a non-denominational spirit filled pastor must adorned facial hair, preferrably a GOATEE!!
Maybe a fell in the stereotyping trap................sorry.

There is no BIBLICAL basis for prohibiting beards. In fact, the Law of Moses (which is cited for prohibiting women from wearing pants, since pants are supposedly that which pertaineth unto a man) commands not to mar the corners of one's beard. This presumes 1) that a man has a beard and 2) that at least the corners of it are not to be marred (does that mean cut, I'm not sure).

So true...
Jesus wasn't the lamb of the first Sunday following the first ecclesiastical full moon that occurs on or after the day of the vernal equinox
Jesus was the Passover lamb.

I guess I realize now that we all think we are right in "our beliefs" I guess we should use our personal convictions to decide what is best for us. Whether it be beards, hair cutting, etc... We are all going to interpret scriptures differently!!! All of us seem to be good moral people!!! So I think I have my answer!

The problem is when people hold beliefs for which they have no scripture... well that isn't such a problem... it is when they apply to others that it becomes a real problem.

Personally I don't have a probelm with facial hair on men, I find no scripture agains't it.I prefer not to have it ,but as long as a brother keeps it trim and neat I have no probelm with it.
Facial hair is something I wouldn't promote or prohibit either.
