Come on now, MP! Do you not think that the web offers a wide variety of opinions and has been a tool to research the truth? I didn't say that I believed everything on the web represented the truth.

To get an accurate account of many of the world events, we cannot depend on our media to give us an unbiased account. On the web, we can access a variety of news sources in order to get to the real story.

Some of the presidents who have been perceived as the most devoted Christians have proven to be among the worst disasters as president. Jimmy Carter and George W. Bush come to mind.
Amen to that!! One of my pet peeves (of which I have many) is with preachers who stand behind the pulpit and either campaign for or denounce a particular candidate. It is absolutely sickening!! Secular politics has no place in the pulpit. I even heard one preacher announce from behind the pulpit, "if you don't know how to vote, come see me after church and I'll tell you!" ARRGGH!! I left right after the sermon that day!!

George "Dubbya" has been a disaster from day one....and he was lauded as "the man-a-God" by so many preachers - again - it shouldn't be a "church subject". End of my rant, but nice to see you put it so plainly, TB!!

Forgive me if I come across a bit harsh, but the notion that he should be judged on his birth-name and not his character or record seems unfair.

Do you think that he should have changed his name once Saddam fell out of favor with the CIA?
Dear Chosen,

I respectfully disagree with you. Names are very important, especially in the Bible. But if you listen closely to he and his wife...they do have an agenda, although subtle, it is deadly in its intent.

I would not vote for a man who has muslim roots, name of a terrorist, who goes to a church led by a man who espouses hatred and getting even for all the atrocities done to his ancestors.

Blessings, Rhoni

He didn't have the name of a terrorist when he was born.......

There are lots of people named Hussein. King Hussein of Jordan (I think that's where he's at) is a good man, for instance.

Re: Does anyone have a problem with Obama's name?

I don't care if his name is Jesus of Nazareth ll and is was as white as snow, I wouldn't vote for him because of what he stands for or maybe I should say what he doesn't stand for. sometimes we Americans are extreemly selfish, if we think something will benefit us personally, forget the long term results.

Not nearly so much as his black separatist church bothers me. An Obama presidency is not likely to help race relations.

Are you all fans of Michael Savage?

Who was he named after with a middle name “Hussein”

In this time in history we don’t need to take any chances.

There is plenty to worry about Obama than to worry about his middle name or the weak argument that he might be Muslim.

The facts of his liberal policies, the things he has said on the record, his voting record, his lack of any real accomplishments, his very dubious alliances and associations are lenty of ammunition to not vote for the man. As Thomas Sowell said in his column these lines of attack on Obama undermine the truly legitimate questions (and believe me there are many, many questions) about Obama and his worthiness to be President.
