I have a stubborn teen that will not wear her contacts or glasses.. She keeps telling me that she is waiting for me to pay for the surgery for her. I have told her that I'm getting it done first... she better get a job. I guess she won't get to drive since she is too stubborn to wear the contacts/glasses. She is stubborn, but where did she get it from? lol, she has absolutely no clue how stubborn I am.

But, if I could get it done for both of us at 2K... that would be a deal.
mine will be $1700.00 per eye. They claim the most advanced equipment (adjustable laser beam to fit each eye - a supposed advantage in reducing the halo effect) In Kansas city they are advertising $1,000 per eye.

Re: Lasik Eye Surgery

Hubby went in this morning to check on having it done and he is scheduled for 5 am tomorrow morning.. he is very excited!

We met so many people in there today who had it done yesterday and they were all so pleased... I met 10 who had it done and were in for their 1 week check up and every one of them were at least 20 20 if not better!

This guy is deemed as the best dr in Dallas... and one of the best all around for Lasik but I tell ya... he has absolutely NO personality! Oh well if he is good I guess it doesnt matter! LOL

He did 21 surgeries this morning and well.. he does them all day so I guess he is good! LOL

Bro Hoover... wanted to let you know my husband came home about noon from surgery this morning... on the way home he was reading all of the street signs without his glasses... something he has never in his entire life been able to do! He was so happy! He is hurting a little (just mainly the itching but it becomes painful after a while but this is common and they give you drops for it) but otherwise doing wonderful! He goes back tomorrow morning for a checkup and so far it all seems good!

I remember the most discomfort taking place that first 6-7 hours after the procedure. The stinging was pretty intense. But after that.... Just remember to use the wetting drops A LOT. Also, use them a minute or two before putting the other medicated drops in (there should be a clear one and one that is milky colored). If your eyes are dry when you put those in, well, lets just say that the pain can be very intense..... Just keep them moist and everything will be fine.
