There are some cons that do not show mercy or grace towards a dress standards. The libs refer to God's great grace and mercy to show that the is no real dress code.
I did not write it how I was meaning to come out. I did not mean to point at her like I was saying she brought it up because she didn't. I did not mean for it to be that way. I brought it up to try and help my argument about grace and mercy.
Did that all make sense for all of you out there is trying to lynch pin me here?
I think my eyes work....may need to get them checked.

Lynch pin nothing. You followed a lame stereotype to the expected end of the death of a strawman. I would recommend, rather than pulling out a misconception of personal value to you, that you go to the Word of God. I did not 'attempt' to prove anything about God's grace and mercy; I simply gave you what God Himself has said in His Word about these two very important topics about which you appear to have a faulty understanding.

It has always been odd to me while some folks expect perfection out of the church and pastor expect very little out of themselves?????????
I had a lady years ago tell me pastor I an leaving this church because it is not a perfect church and I am going to find the perfect church and go there.
I told her "Promise me two things. One when you find it call me I would love to see a perfect church. Number two do NOT join because since you are there it certainly is NO longer perfect." She acted a little offended?

Sir, you certainly cannot be referring to me! In the 3 years that I have been apart of this forum and its previous incarnations, I have done nothing but broadcast my imperfections to the community at large!

You can be the best ex-UPC saint there is. Give it a try! But you will be missed.

Wow SISTER Murphy. I did not know I made you this mad. I guess that is what I get for trying to use an example to prove my stance. I guess I am still not making myself clear here. Or is maybe you are not understanding my APOLOGY FOR MY POST!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Now that is out of our way....I appreciate all the scripture you gave in your first rebuttle of my post. The only point I was trying to make was that grace and mercy are given unconditionally. That was where I was trying to get with my post. Sorry I pointed my finger at you. That was not my intention. AGAIN, I was trying to use an example to prove my point in the argument. You did not bring up the standards thing, I did and as I was typing on this thread I was thinking of another thread and merged the two seperate responses into one. AGAIN I am sorry. I hope you can understand that...I MADE A MISTAKE. Is all forgiven and better now???? I sure hope so....

No, all is not forgiven. Some prefer a burnt sacrifice as atonement, and they want it to be YOU!

If you make yourself a cat of nine tails made from chains and attach a spiked metal ball to the end of each chain, and then proceed to flog yourself for 40 days, that may be a more acceptable apology to her and she may at that point consider forgiving you.

Michlow, you be encouraged. The road maybe broken, but if we stay looking and following the right markers, we will get where Jesus can deal with us and show us where we need to be.

Friend, I wasn't mad, I was just annoyed. I don't think you pointed a finger at me, you just went down a completely irrelevant path.
Now, as to the original point you made, I am very much interested in seeing that you support it from scripture.
