You see if I was perfect then I might have more of an issue with others who aren't. But because I'm not perfect and because I've made mistakes and failed then it's easier to understand how someone else might too. But that doesn't mean that their lives haven't been a blessing and help to many and that they can't be again either.
You have to keep the main thing the main thing. I think that when you trust God with all your heart it's easier to trust others and to understand that God trusts people enough to CALL THEM into ministry knowing full well that they will make mistakes along the way. This is important and perhaps if you look at it this way it might be helpful.
I hope so.

I agree that ministers are human and can and do make mistakes.
I think the problem may be that the saints and ministers are taught such things as "touch not mine anointed" and "obey them that rule over you" in such a way that it leads to the set up of a god-like mentality in those people. Ministers are set up to be viewed as demigogues who are better than human.
Look at the traditions that have been put in place where ministers have no accountability at all to those they minister to and no one will bring them to accountability as in scripture where if there is sin that it is to be dealt with in a certain manner and if you have ought against your brother it is to be dealt with in a certain manner. The ministry seems to be above "the law" so to speak in that they will not submit themselves to be treated like everyone else in these matters. or saints are afraid to follow scripture and approach a minister.

It's ALL good!!!
James 2
12 So whenever you speak, or whatever you do, remember that you will be judged by the law of love, the law that set you free. 13 For there will be no mercy for you if you have not been merciful to others. But if you have been merciful, then God's mercy toward you will win out over his judgment against you.

Then, unfortunately for you, you cannot be saved until you have a change of heart (for God has chosen by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.) I seriously pray that God grants you that change of heart (repentance), because I would truly like to meet you in heaven someday.

And nowhere in the Bible that says to discount, disbelieve, and distrust the ministry because of it; it DOES, however, say that God will give those who are truly mistreated (not necessarily the ones who probably got their little feelers hurt or their toes stepped on, but those truly harmed) that He would give them pastors after His heart, who would feed them with wisdom and knowledge.

I disagree. The only way to correct this misperception is to know and believe the Word of God.

So, you really believe that God would keep His Word (because it is impossible for Him to lie) and give you a pastor after His heart, just to 'lie to you'? Bro, where are you?

The fact that people fall has never ever affected my trust in them overall or in God either. You just have to learn and accept that men - all men - fail.
The Old Testament patriarchs and prophets and kings certainly did. So did NT disciples, leaders and saints.
Hello! It's a fact of life. Get a grip.

No, that makes too much sense and gets rid of the self-justification and lame excuse to be a rebel.

This is a very sad thing, Mich! I promise you there are ministers out there who are the "real deal". If I didn't believe that about my husband, I would be out of here. I sure wouldn't sit here and play the game, pretending to be something we're not. I've seen too much of that through the years.
I think too many pastors/preachers have an anointing and somehow that makes them think they don't need integrity or character. I think God is much more interested in building the man than the ministry.
