Transportation is found in the Bible. As far as sound travel, they preached out of boats and upon mountains due to the way the sound would carry when they preached.
The Roman seat (Jews had Moses' Seat) was a high platform that allowed the voice to carry over the crowd when speaking.
Please understand where I’m coming from, I mean no harm or offence.
I think some of you are taking what I've posted totally the wrong way. I mean no disrespect to the Alvears or any one else who believes in female preachers. I just posted scriptures and asked questions. If what I posted was so wrong then no one should get offended, they should just strengthen their arguments and present their case based on the scriptures.
If any have been insulted them I'm sorry, but if anyone would go back through this thread you would find that I was attacked repeatedly.
If someone has an argument please present it and we can discuss it, by using the scriptures we should be able to see whether a woman can teach married men and single adult men. I'm not saying a woman cannot witness, testify, show an example of godliness, and holiness. What I am saying is that a woman cannot teach married and unmarried adult men. No female leadership.
Spanish and French has masculine and feminine, and the English has neuter, but the Greek has all three. I meant no harm by what I posted to H1 concerning the Greek, and the two words for bishop
Επισκοπή which means the "postion" of the bishop, "office" and
Επισκοπος which is the Bishop "himself". The latter is masculine because it's a title ONLY for a MAN.
Anyone can easily research this information themselves.
Lord bless you all and again I mean no harm.
In Jesus name
