Re: PRAY for PO's Daughter and Grandson
Has anyone heard of the daughter's delivery following her mom's? In other words, if her mom carried babies 43 weeks - - then she's more likely to carry her baby 43 weeks.

I haven't either and can't find anything on the web to support it either.
Her mom says it's in her DNA to be late because she was with her two children. My DIL isn't late yet - - - but, seems mom is happy that she's not having her yet.

Re: PRAY for PO's Daughter and Grandson
I think there may be evidence to suggest that a woman tends to have babies at about the same gestation, but I've seen or heard nothing to indicate it generationally.

Re: PRAY for PO's Daughter and Grandson
I've not heard that, Renda. But my mom swears that if the mother had hard births, then her daughter will also. And if her births were easy, then her daughters' babies will come easily as well.
Of course, then she goes on to tell us how she had 5 of us and every single birth was completely different from the others. So I don't know....... would I have had hard births or easy ones? who knows! sounds to me like it could have gone either way. Gee whiz!

Re: PRAY for PO's Daughter and Grandson
Renda,
When our eldest daughter had her first born, the nurse said she was at a 4. In about
an hour and a half, the shifts changed and another nurse came on. About that time my
daughter was trying so hard NOT to push because they told her to wait to push. The
new nurse asked, "Did she say that she is at a 4, I'd better check her again. She said,
Get her to delivery, she's at a 9. Her first baby was born two hours after she got to the
hospital. Those numbers can go up pretty fast sometimes.
Hugs,
