He is, but he's still the weight that my friend's baby was born yesterday (7 lbs even) and Mattie is guesstimated at 7.5

If he'd waited to be born this weekend he'd be 9 lbs!

Good Lord! Well, the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck and so I'm thinking that God spared his life. I've known several pregnancies that ended at the ninth month because of the cord being around the baby's neck. It's dangerous when they are very active, which this baby has been the whole time.

There ya go - - of course in a month he'd have moved so much that the cord might not have been around his neck.

But....the Lord knew what needed to happen. Might have been that your daughter couldn't have delivered a 9 pounder! LOL!
