True about the eye-opening of visiting WEC!
Being a St. Loius fan we would definitely have to take the even years!

Think they could raffle off a couple Cardinal tickets? Gotta make money somehow.

Downtown St Louis is experiencing a new birth lately. There is a wonderful convention center, and new restaurants and hotels popping up all over the place.

BTW, a St Louis GC is great for folks who have never been to HQ, and tours are offfered daily during the conference. It can be quite eye-opening for folks who have never visited WEC.
Anybody know how long the tours last? And does Anheiser/Busch give any complimentary samples?

I do know the attendance has declined in the past few years.

2002 - Phoenix...the arena was FULL to OVERPACKED every night. One night, we got to the arena about 15 minutes after service started and could hardly find a seat....in the nosebleeds. It was PACKED OUT.

2004 - SLC....another PACKED out arena.

2006 - Columbus...well, the attendance was disappointing to say the least. There was vast open space in the nosebleeds.

Louisville had about 40000 if I recall.

The National Quartet Singing is held there with a different type stage and they pack in 65000 every September.

LOL

Actually I left on Saturday morning and there were all these white shirts and brown slacks dressed people.

( I was surprised to find Louisville was the home base for UPS.)

It was a nice arena and easily accessable from Super8.
