Sis. Alvear,

if your son needs someone to help with language interpretation (Portuguese, correct?) please PM me. I have a friend who pastors in Miami, but grew up the son of missionaries to Chile. I don't believe he could come there to interpret, but he might be willing to help out over the phone for them. With cell phones, they might be able to do it without even any long-distance costs.

In the meantime, be assured that I am praying here in Ohio.

My son speaks both languages. My daughter in law speaks little English. I just called but they are still waiting on a pastor that is supposed to help them. I did tell them about St Judes hospital.

Thanks for the prayers and sometime today we should know something...They said everytime the baby woke up she was in screaming pain.

They are giving her something to sleep right now.

Thanks for the info. I had a cousin born in Portugal 20 years ago and his parents didn't have any problems, although I don't know the specifics or anything.

They should be at the hospital right now with her. Raul Jr cancelled his preaching schedule and will probably have to return to Brazil. At least that is the plans at the moment. They are unsettled what to do because he owes so much on the campground and recent churches they have built. We are just waiting to see what they find out.
We are all praying and God is in control. I will keep you all informed.

The doctors decided not to do tests. I do not know why. The baby is NOT in the hospital but is in pain. At this moment my son and family are headed toward Oklahoma. Please continue to pray. As news arrives I will keep you informed. I am deeply greatful for my family of praying concerned friends. I really love you folks.

I really wish they'd went to St. Jude's. I think that was their best bet.

I do too...I am uneasy about this decision but there is not much I can do so far away. My son is only bold in the pulpit but is more of a loner in some ways...lots of friends but no close friends.
